Charles Halbert Mann, age 101 of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018.
Mr. Mann was born on August 22, 1916 to the late John William and Fannie Charlotte Houston Mann. He entered the Army Air Corp in 1941, in Detroit, MI, and served with honor in World War II as a navigator. Mr. Mann believed in the premise “God, Family, and Country.” Charles was retired from the Department of Agriculture, Markets Division, where he was an assistant commissioner. He was a lifetime Lions Club member for 60 plus years and attended the chapel at Mountain Lakes. Charles was an outrageous Alabama football fan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Louise Mann.
Survivors include his daughters, Diane Mann and Charlene Mann, both of Cleveland; grandchildren, Melisa and Jason Byrd, Grayson, Allison Mann, Cleveland; great grandchildren, Emily Grace Byrd.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
