A celebration of life for Chareen “Reen” Swafford Parks White, age 67 of Flat Creek, will be held on Saturday January 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at The Loft Church 203 Elm Street Shelbyville with message from Pastor and great friends Willie and Debbie Brown, with fellowship and meal to follow at the church. Reen passed away on her birthday Friday January 25, 2018 at her home with friends and family by her side.
Chareen Swafford Parks White, born January 25, 1951 in East Point, GA., was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Jean Swafford of Georgia. She was a jack of many trades but a master Cattleman, former professional dog groomer, and farmer. She loved woodworking, antique vehicles, was an avid supporter of The Tennessee Walking Horse Industry, with a passion for all God’s creatures. She was a loyal member of The Loft Church.
Chareen is survived by her son Tim Parks (Lisa loving caregiver) of Murrayville, GA., Amy Dooner of Batesville GA., Sisters; Deborah (Randy) White of Gainesville GA., Marshell (Jack) Miller of Oxford, GA, Alexis Baskin of WV, six grandchildren, one great grandchild, along with her many “surrogate children” and loving friends.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Wallace White, and Richard O. Parks, DVM. Beloved son Brian Parks, and her parents Gilbert and Jean Swafford.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to her loving additional caregivers “her rocks” Bo and Jimbo Wilson, Josh and Micah Wilson, and Barb Bryan.
