Edward Joseph Skinner, Jr

Edward Joseph Skinner, Jr., age 82, of Snellville, GA passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Ruth Clary and Eunice Skinner. He is survived by his children, Thomas W. and Lisa Skinner, Snellville, GA, Scott W. Brown, Cumming, GA, Douglas M. Brown, Doraville, GA and Ron A. Brown, Charleston, SC; six grandchildren, Alan Skinner, Rachel Skinner, Sydney Brown, Spencer Brown, Meagyn Brown and Carson Brown; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas Colbert and Paula Skinner, Lawrenceville, GA; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Skinner was born July 16, 1935 in Gulfport, MS. He was a 1953 graduate of Marist High School in Atlanta, GA. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He was a retired commercial and residential painter. He was an avid fisherman and NASCAR fan. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Cumming. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 3740 Holtzclaw Road, Cumming, GA 30041 in memory of Edward Joseph Skinner, Jr.
