Donald Hugh Wells

Mr. Donald Hugh Wells, age 56, of Dahlonega passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018.

Mr. Wells was born in Leesburg, FL on August 24, 1961. He was preceded in death by his mother Gloria Jean Smith Dowdy; brother Chuck Wells; grandparents Hugh Sinclair and Ruby Wells; uncle Roger Smith and mother in law Virginia Loggins. Mr. Wells lived most of his life in Dahlonega. He was an avid hunter and truck driver.

Survivors include his wife Patti Wells, Dahlonega; sons and daughters in law Shawn and Robin Wells and Kenny and Candace Wells both of Dahlonega; goddaughter and son in law Stephanie and Bradley Hanley, Danielsville; grandsons Michael Rider, Colton Wells, Dalton Wells and Dustin Wells, all of Dahlonega; brother Keith Wells, Oklahoma; sisters and brothers in law Dee Ann and Frank Borza, Tampa, FL; Heidi Starr and James Keosavanh, Elm, TX; father and step mother Jack and Susan Wells, Polk City, FL; father in law Cliff Loggins, Murrayville; brothers in law and sisters in law Jeff and Jo Ann Wolfe, Royston; Tommy and Gail Parker, Gillsville; Jimmy and Tona Loggins and Becky and Mike Conner both of Murrayville; a number of special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Chapel of Banister Funeral Home. The Rev. Clay Huff will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
