Mary Ruth Densmore Adams

Mary Ruth Densmore Adams age 84 of Turnerville, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018.

Born in Habersham County, Georgia on August 5, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Glenn and Ethel Lethia Dover Densmore.  Mrs. Adams was a retired seamstress with International Outerwear. She enjoyed cross word puzzles, gardening, camping, fishing and going to the beach. Mrs. Adams attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ret. Tech Sgt. Arnold H. Adams; daughter, Lainie Johnson; brothers, Samuel Glenn Densmore, Jr. and William Densmore; sister, Iola Ivester.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony & Joyce Adams and Shane & Sherry Adams all of Turnerville; daughter and son-in-law, Terry & Steve Hooper of Cleveland; son-in-law, Stan Johnson of Robertstown; grandchildren, John Johnson, Nikhoma Johnson, Zack Hooper, Adam Hooper, Hannah O’Leary, A.J. Adams, Hilary Brown, Megan Adams, Chelsea Adams, Austin Adams and Kaleb Adams, great grandchildren, River Dockins , Charlotte Hooper and Elliot O’Leary; sisters and brothers-in-law, Clara Ivester of Turnerville, Lou Helen & Ken Turpin and Ommie & Red Standridge all of Hollywood; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Holcomb and Rev. Austin Ivester officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
