Mrs. Ruby Payne Moore, age 96 of Toccoa went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Saturday, January 13, 2018.
A daughter of the late William Henry Payne and Anna Mae Cleveland Payne, she was born December 1, 1921 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived most of her life. She was of the Baptist faith and served the Lord on the mission field with her husband for more than 30 years. She was loved by everyone who knew her and loved to share her faith with others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. A.A. Moore, daughter, Lois Jane Moore, several brothers, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Survivors include a son, Henry A. Moore of Tococa; two beloved granddaughters, Regina Moore and Lee and Efren Dilidili; two beloved great-grandsons, Samuel Austin Moore Dilidili and Christopher Brandon Moore Dilidili (April); two sisters, Florence Carter and Mary Miller; sister-in-law, Joann Payne; a number of nieces and nephews; and by her Arizona family.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 18, 2018, 3 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Johnny Thomas officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the service time. Online condolences can be made at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Ruby Payne Moore.
