Annice T. Mcglotha, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, January 13, 2018 surrounded by family. She was born August 1, 1939, in Gainesville, Ga to John D. Thompson (Sr.) and Lena Mae Thompson. She worked at Northeast Georgia Medical Center , where she retired after 27 years of outstanding service. Annice truly enjoyed people, offering laughter and an amazing smile as medicine to countless patients over the years. She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Ricky) Lawrence; special friend Willie Whelchel; a brother, John (Letha Sue) Thompson Jr.; sisters Harriett Randolph, Yasmin Thompson (Rockford, IL), and Carol Jean Keavney (N. Park, CA); grandchildren, Tomika Jackson, Kaylar Jackson, and Bernard (Angel) Jackson; 5 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Family, friends, and others whose lives Annice touched are invited to Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home at 325 Summit St. SE Gainesville, from 6:30p.m.- 7:30 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2018, to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, chat.
