Glenn Richard (Ricky) Rowland

Glenn Richard (Ricky) Rowland, age 67, of Murrayville, GA and formerly of Buford, GA passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father, Carlton Rowland; step father, Martin Smith. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Chewning Rowland Smith, Murrayville, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Linda Rowland, Murrayville, GA and Jeannie and Dwayne Carpenter, Gainesville, GA; niece, Lori Ledford, Dunwoody, GA; nephew, Cody Smith, Gainesville, GA; great niece, Alyssa Andrews; and several cousins. Mr. Rowland was born April 11, 1950 in Detroit, MI. He was a 1968 graduate of Buford High School in Buford, GA. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a member of the Buford American Legion Post 127. He was a carpenter and an avid wood carver. He was of the Baptist Faith. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
