John K. Pulley, 80, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday January 14, 2018 at Chestatee Regional Hospital.
Born October 6, 1937 in Laurence, SC to the late Louie and Helen Pulley, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 38 years having moved from Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Pulley worked in commercial construction and was a U. S. Navy Veteran. He enjoyed fishing, painting, playing piano and bird watching. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Antionette Catherine Romano Pulley; and brothers, Robert Rostallon, Jack Pulley, Bill Pulley, Gene Strickland and Tony Pulley.
Surviving are his daughters and sons in law, Bridget and Larry Hedden, Dahlonega, Barbara Pulley, Bonita Springs, FL, Brenda and Terry Roper, Cumming; son and daughter in law, John and Heather Pulley, Dawsonville; sisters, Polly Holloway, McCormick, SC, Sissy Allegood, Citrus Springs, FL; brother, Earl Strickland, Avon Park, FL; grandchildren, Christopher Osterloh, Kenneth and Rosemary Hedden, Amanda and Steven Yorkey, Katie and Dustin Harrell, John Pulley, III, PFC Austin Roper, Kylee Grace Pulley; four great grandchildren, a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends Wednesday January 17, 2018 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to assist with final expenses.
