Theodore “Ted” Allen

Theodore “Ted” Allen, age 85, of Dawsonville, GA passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018.

He was born in Sautee, GA, one of eight children, to the late Garnett Lee and Clyda Dove Goss Allen. He served his country in the United States Army and the United States Air Force, and retired after working as superintendent of various paving companies. Ted loved trout fishing and was an avid reader, and was a Christian, caring husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marie Cowart Allen, Dawson County; sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Aritha Allen, and Tim and Pat Allen; and daughter, Tina Allen Wehunt, all of Hall County. 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and a number of other relatives also survive.

A Memorial Service for Ted is scheduled for 2:30 PM Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home in Gainesville, GA.

Rev. Scott Hearn will officiate.

The family will receive friends at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home from 1 PM until 2 PM on Saturday, January 13.
