Susan Willard Williams

Mrs. Susan Willard Williams, age 52, resident of Dawsonville, GA and native of Cumming, GA passed away Thursday, January 11,2018.

Susan was a loving wife, mother, Grana, daughter, & sister. She was a 1984 graduate of Forsyth County High School, attended Lanier Tech & Gainesville Jr. College with a degree in Dental Hygiene. Susan was currently working for Harris Family Dentistry in Dawsonville, GA as a Dental Hygienist since 1999. She was a member of Cumming Baptist Church & actively involved in the Dawson County Relay for Life.

Susan's hobbies were being an incredible Grana, spending time with family & friends, traveling, deer hunting, camping, or any outdoor activity.

Susan is survived by her loving husband of 32 years to Robert Lee Williams, Jr. She was an amazing mom to 2 wonderful daughters & 2 loving son-in-laws - Hannah and Zachary Smith of Dawsonville & Morgan and Matthew Parker of Dahlonega. There are 4 SUPER grandchildren that were proud to call Susan "GRANA" - Kolton Smith, Korileigh "Sissy" Smith, Jamesleigh Parker, & Jaxon Parker. Parents - Dorothy Willard & the late Henry Willard. In-laws - Robert Lee Williams, Sr. & the late Lynn Williams. Sisters & brother-in-laws - Janice & John Reid of Marietta, Nancy & Gary Carter of Cumming, Sandra Smith of Cumming, Heath & Cindy Williams of Dahlonega. Susan is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a multitude of cousins.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 14, 2018 at 2:00pm at Cumming Baptist Church with Rev. Blake Carter & Rev. Mark Wood officiating. Pallbearers include Zachary Smith, Matt Parker, Duane Frady, Mike Richardson, Darryle McEachin, Tommy Gheesling, Dr. Craig Harris, and Shane Fowler.

Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at McDonald Funeral Home in Cumming, GA on Friday January 12 from 4:00-8:00pm and on Saturday January 13 from 2:00-4:00pm & 6:00-8:00pm In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in memory of Susan be made to the Dawsonville Relay for Life which will be set up as Team Susan Willard Williams early next week.
