John Boss

John Boss, age 93, of Helen, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018, following an extended illness.

Mr. Boss was born on December 16, 1924, in Buford, Georgia, to the late Ernest and Pearl Boss. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jane Boss; brother, Horace Boss; and grandson, Corey Fred. Mr. Boss retired from Carolina Freight with 35 years plus of loyal and dedicated service. He was of the Non-Denominational faith.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Victoria and Marvin Fred of Salem, OR and Sharron and Jim Franks of Dallas, TX; son and daughter-in-law, John Michael and Cindy Boss of Bogart, GA; sister, Ruby Clayton of Rockmart, GA; brother, Fred Boss of Lake Burton, GA; nine grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia, with Jim Franks officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1-2:45 pm just prior to the funeral service on Sunday, January 14, 2018, at the funeral home.
