Philip Lawrence Kichler
June 19, 1935 to January 6, 2018
Philip was born on June 19, 1935 to Frieda and Morris Kichler in Chicago, Illinois. The family relocated to Tampa, Florida in 1944, where Philip lived until graduating from high school. He attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy in August of 1958.
Phil worked as a pharmacist for 50 years, starting his long career with Liggett-Rexall in Georgia. In the 1980's he worked as staff pharmacist for Lakeland General Hospital in Lakeland, Florida. During that time, he obtained training and certification as a licensed hypnotist maintaining an office for evening appointments for weight control, smoking and pain alleviation. He relocated to Hollywood, Florida in 1981 and worked as a consulting pharmacist until returning to retail pharmacy for Walgreens Drug Store. He retired after 12 years from Walgreens in 2009, relocating to a retirement home in Dahlonega, Georgia.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra, of 33 years, children and grandchildren. His family knew him as Husband, Father, Dad, Pops, and Poppa. His love, wonderful sense of humor and always available advice will be missed!!
