Emory Ray Dover, age 77 of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018.
Mr. Dover was born January 23, 1940 in Blairsville, GA to the late Grady and Cora Collins Dover. Emory worked as chicken farmer and machinist for most of his life. He was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Ray Dover, brothers, Junior Dover, Randall Dover and great-great granddaughter Alexis Rice.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Dover, Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Johnnie Dover, Cleveland; son, Gary Dover, Cleveland; daughter, Gina Pilgrim, Melbourne, FL; grandchildren, Josh Chambers, Clay Pilgrim, Trent Pilgrim, Faith Virgins, Jamie Moore, Chelsea Seitz, Brittany Speed, Kaley Dover, and D.J. Dover; brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Hazel Dover and J.W. and Mildred Dover; brother, Preston Dover; sister and brother-in-law, Della and Charles Hamilton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Greg Poole and the Rev. Ronnie Dockery will officiate. Interment will follow at Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday and again Saturday until the time of service.
