Dawn McBee Siburt, 81, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday December 31, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born July 1, 1936 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late James and Juanita McBee, she had lived in Dawson County for the past 9 years having moved from Wellsburg, WV. A Registered Nurse, she retired from the Ohio Valley Medical Center after 50 years of service. After retirement she was employed by the Dawson County School System as a school nurse. Mrs. Siburt was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 23, and a member of the Ohio Valley General Hospital School for Nurses Alumni Association. Dawn possessed a passion for reading and was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles James Siburt.
Surviving are her children, Keith and Martha Siburt, Maryland, Juanita and Danny Scarborough, Dawsonville, Deborah Smith, Wellsburg, WV; grandchildren, Brittany and Daniel Porter, Lea and Cody Chambers, Jacki Scarborough; four great grandchildren; brother and sister in law, James and Carolyn McBee, Luthersville, GA; and a nephew, James McBee.
Memorial services will be held Saturday January 20, 2018 at 11 o’clock at Bethel United Methodist Church. Dr. David Sanders will officiate. Mrs. Siburt will be interred beside her parents in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Follansbee, WV.
