Mary Kathryn (Kathy) Rogers

Mary Kathryn (Kathy) Rogers, 59, of Gainesville passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm. On Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Myles Brown officiating.  Interment will follow in Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on October 6, 1958 in Hall County, Mrs. Rogers was the daughter of Kenneth Seabolt and of the late Renee Howell Seabolt.  She received her Master’s Degree from Brenau and taught at Buford City School and White Sulphur. Mrs. Rogers was a member of First Baptist Church of Oakwood.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Rogers is preceded in death by her sister, Christine Walker.

Mrs. Rogers is survived by her husband, Jimmy Rogers of Gainesville; daughters, Jennifer (Jenn) Rogers of Norcross, Anna Kathryn Rogers of Gainesville; father, Kenneth Seabolt of Clermont; brother, Mark Seabolt of Maysville; sister, Lynda Seabolt Vanderven of Flowery Branch and a number of other relatives.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to First Baptist Church of Oakwood Preschool, 3780 Old Oakwood Rd., Oakwood, GA 30566.
