Mrs. Patricia Jeannine Williamson Garrison, 81, passed away at her home on December 28, 2017, after an extended illness.
Jeannine was the daughter of Virgil and Bonnie Bryan Williamson and grew up in the New Holland and East Hall communities. After graduating from Airline High School, she attended Berry College. She graduated from Brenau College with a bachelor’s degree and taught several years at Candler and Lyman Hall Elementary Schools. After raising her children, she served as the coordinator of the Mother’s Morning Out program at Lakewood Baptist Church.
In 1957, she married C. Talmadge Garrison, and they recently celebrated the sixtieth anniversary of their marriage. After living for most of their lives in Gainesville, in 2001 they moved to the Chestatee community, where she enjoyed her retirement by birdwatching, gardening, shopping, and visiting with friends, relatives, and neighbors.
Jeannine was predeceased by her parents and three brothers, Virgil Williamson, Jr., John Wesley Williamson, and Robert Williamson. She is survived by her husband, Talmadge; her son, Tim Garrison, daughter-in-law Cindy Lamb Garrison, and their son, Samuel Wyatt Garrison, of Wilsonville, Oregon; her daughter, Patricia Garrison Ferrell and son-in-law Scot Ferrell, of Dawsonville; grandsons Patric Scott and Garrison Scott, of Roswell; her brother and sister-in-law Johnny and Brenda Williamson, of Gainesville; her brother Dwight Williamson, of McCaysville; her sister and brother-in-law, LaClita Williamson Robson and Milton Robson, of Gainesville.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 31, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. in the Little & Davenport Chapel. Dr. Jerry Gill will officiate. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will welcome visitors one hour prior to the service.
