Clinton Chester

Clinton Chester, 74, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday December 19, 2017 at Northside Hospital Cherokee following a period of declining health.

Born May 19, 1943 in Dawsonville to the late Arnold and Lona Mae Chester, Clinton was a lifelong resident of Dawson County.  He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was employed at Sweet-Orr for over 32 years.  Mr. Chester is also preceded in death by his wife, Charldine Chester.

Surviving are his daughters and sons in law, Rebecca and Robert Gorski, Dawsonville, Samantha and Richard Scott, Dublin; son and daughter in law, Michael and Sandra Chester, Dahlonega; sister and brother in law, Geneva and Dale Hampton, Roswell; brother and sister in law, Clifton and Joyce Chester, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Katelyn Gorski, Alexander Gorski, Amelia Gorski, Mack Scott, Liam Scott; other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Friday December 22, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Glenn Byrd will officiate.  Interment will follow in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday December 21 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
