She is also survived by her sister, Mrs. Grovie Jones, and was preceded in death by her parents, Grady & Catherine Stancil and her sister Mrs. Thelma Lovell.
Nan, as she was affectionately known to all of us, was a loyal Coca Cola retiree who was proud of her tenure with the company and her extensive Coke memorabilia collection. In her spare time, and since her retirement, Nan enjoyed gardening, crafts, garage sales and spending time with her family.
The Family would like to express their appreciation to Heartland Hospice whose help and support was invaluable to us over this last year, especially Roseline, her Nurse and Marshal and Donna, her CNAs. Their love and care for Nan were beyond measure and we cannot thank them enough. We will also be forever grateful to her Carly’s Angels care team, Brenda and Paula and her beloved Primary caregiver, Mulu, whom Nan loved dearly.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Nan’s memory to either the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Association.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00pm, Friday, December 22, 2017 from Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Dockery officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 11:00am.
