Patricia G. “Patsy” Rakestraw, age 80, of Atlanta, GA, died Thursday, December 14, 2017. A graveside service will be held Monday, December 18, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens. Rev. Danny Newbern will officiate. Patsy is survived by her husband, Carl G. Rakestraw, Atlanta; sons, James D. Rakestraw (Dena), Cumming, GA, Richard C. Rakestraw, Ashville, NC; grandchild, Nathan Rakestraw, Ashville, NC; twin sister, Missy Smith, Buford, GA; brother, Dale Griffith (Edith), TX; cousin, Winston Smith (Mattie), Buford, GA. Patsy was born in Prentiss, MS and lived in the metro Atlanta area for 60 years and was a member of Briarcliff Baptist Church.
