John Noel Wingo

Mr. John Noel Wingo, 88, of Mt. Airy Georgia passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home, with the Reverend Wayne Fowler officiating.  Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Born on July 28, 1929 in Gainesville, GA he was the son of the late Louis and Bessie Ingram Wingo.  Mr. Wingo was the owner and operator Oakwood Welding. Mr. Wingo was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Wingo is preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Wingo; son, Mike Wingo and great-grandchild, Hosanna Sullards.

Mr. Wingo is survived by his daughters, Patti Reed (Ricky) of Mt. Airy; Bobbie Wingo of Gainesville; sons, Chris Wingo (Betty Sue) of Gainesville, Donald Wingo (Brenda) of Braselton, Mark Wingo (Teresa) of Clermont; grandchildren, Belinda Sullards, Chad Reed, Jacob Reed, John Randall Wingo, Jason Wingo, Shannon Wingo, Greg Wingo; 15 great grandchildren.
