“Death is but the next great adventure” JK Rowling
Gregory Scott Dew began this adventure Friday, December 8th. Greg was a smiling face that never met a stranger and a bright light that touched many souls. He will be deeply missed.
A graduate of Newnan High School, Greg earned his Bachelors at Valdosta State University. Destined to be a world traveler, he began these travels by heading “out west” working at many ski resorts. Recently he worked at the Edelweiss Lodge and resort in Garmisch, Germany as a ski instructor and tour guide. He traveled Europe visiting 21 countries and was preparing to depart for Thailand to teach English as a second language. Greg experienced more in his short life than most; once saying he had “seen enough waterfalls to last a lifetime”.
He leaves behind his parents Ronnie and Scott Dew, his sister Tricia Dew Weathers (Andrew,
Amber), his Grandmother Dora Raeside, the love of his life Kaylee Clark, his Aunts Mary Sterling (Chris) and Kathyrn Shaver (Kevin), his uncles Michael Dew (Jill), Richard Raeside (Kelly) and Grant Raeside, as well as many cousins and friends.
There will be a funeral mass held at 11 o’clock Friday, December 15th, at St Luke Catholic Church in Dahlonega, GA. In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations be sent to the MARR Scholarship Fund: MARR Scholarship Fund 2815 Clearview Pl Doraville GA 30340.
