Ronald Louis Offutt

Ronald Louis Offutt, age 75, of Hoschton passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017. He was born in 1942 in Indianapolis, IN. He was of Methodist faith. He was a retired master electrician, master plumber, HVAC instillation and he worked as an electrician on the original World Trade Center buildings. He was in the U.S. Navy, Mobile Construction Battalion 6.  He served in Puerto Rico, Greece and Spain.

He enjoyed golfing and refinishing/building furniture. Survivors include his wife of 53 years of marriage Patricia A. Offutt; sons Ryan L. Offutt of Winder, GA and Jason S. Offutt and wife Andraya of Bend, OR; brothers Calvin L. Offutt and wife Fran of Conyers, GA and David L. Offutt of Swansboro, NC; sisters-in-law Karen E. Wood and husband Marty of Morganton, NC and Yvonne L. Guy and husband Leonard of Hoschton, GA; nephews Michael D. Fincher of Morganton, NC and Kevin Offutt and wife Jennifer of Baton Rouge, LA; nieces Kenzie Fincher of Nebo, NC, Crissy Fincher of Nebo, NC, Cami Grady and husband Mike of Hamilton, GA, Julie Munzo and husband Carlos of Winder, GA, Emily Munzo of Winder, GA, Jennifer David and husband William of Braselton, GA and R. Kennedy of Braselton, GA; grandchildren Ethan L. Offutt of Winder, GA, Kaitlyn O. Offutt of Winder, GA and Tatum S. Offutt of Bend, OR. He is preceded in death by his parents Harry L. Offutt of Phenix City, AL and Marge Offutt of Phenix City, AL and Covington, GA; grandparents Louis and Mable Sponsel of Indianapolis, IN, and Opal M. Offutt of Indianapolis, IN and son Matthew B. Offutt.

Family wishes to thank Heather Stribling, Alicia Herring and all the employees of Northeast Georgia Medical Center Hospice for their assistance in caring for Ronnie.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Matt Scobell will be officiating. Interment with military honors to follow at the Hoschton City Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the funeral home.
