Jim Conaway

Jim Conaway of Dahlonega, GA, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Northside Forsyth Hospital after an extended illness. He was 65 years old.

Jim had retired as a supervisor for an industrial demolition company before moving to Dahlonega from Savannah, GA. He was an active volunteer and committee chair for the Bear on the Square Festival, and a member of Singles Over Sixty, a group he loved very much.

He leaves behind a son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Renee Conaway, four siblings - John Conaway and his wife, MaryEllen Mueller Conaway; Judith Conaway; and Janet Quintero and her husband, Louis, Janelle Conaway and her husband, John - and a large network of family and friends.

Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday December 13, 2017 at Dahlonega Funeral Home Chapel.  Family will receive friends from 1pm until service time.
