George E. Thompson, III, age 57, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Patricia Ann Thompson, Sugar Hill, GA; children, Allen and Kimberly Thompson, Dacula, GA, Christina Thompson, Osceola, IN, Cheyenne Thompson, Sugar Hill, GA, Cierra Thompson, Sugar Hill, GA; two grandchildren, Preston Thompson, and Brielle Thompson; mother, Maryann Jordan, Sarasota, FL; sisters, Terri Enes, Jasper, GA, Loriann Linville, Crossville, TN, Melise Jordan, Sarasota, FL, Trecy Jordan, Woodinville, WA, Nita Jordan, Sarasota, FL; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Thompson was born February 9, 1960 in Sarasota, FL. He was a 1978 graduate of Riverview High School, Sarasota, FL, and he was a retired salesman from Big Sandy Furniture Company. Mr. Thompson was a member of Energy Fitness Center where he was an avid weight lifter. He was also an avid Braves fan and loved the Dallas Cowboys and L.A. Lakers.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford. Interment will follow at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
