Carolyn Gay Wetherford Watson

Mrs. Carolyn Gay Wetherford Watson age 84 of Gainesville passed away Wednesday November 29, 2017 at her residence following an extended illness.  

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday December 02, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Stacy Phillips will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday December 01, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Mrs. Watson was born on October 01, 1933 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late E.B. Wetherford and Esta Crow Wetherford. Carolyn worked for Parks Lumber Company as an Accountant until her sons were born, then she became an incredible homemaker, wife, and mother. Mrs. Watson was of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Eugene Watson, brother-in-law, Joe Holbrook and brother-in-law, Pete Canup.      

Carolyn is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Craig Watson (Kim) of Gainesville, Eric Watson (Sandy) of Gainesville, grand-children, Ryan Watson (Tiffany), Josh Watson, Kayla Watson, Courtney Watson, Makenzie Watson, Ryan Evans, Stephen Evans, sister, Valeria Holbrook, sister, Evelyn Canup, and a host  of  nieces, nephews and special friends.
