Elizabeth Villyard

Mrs. Elizabeth Villyard, 90 of Gainesville passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017.

Born in Douglas, GA, she was the daughter of the late William Walter and Minnie Vickers Merritt.  She was the last of 11 children.  Elizabeth was a member of Antioch Methodist Church.  She loved spending time with her family, farming and cooking.  She also enjoyed travelling and bowling. 

Her surviving family includes her husband of 36 years Ralph Villyard; daughters and sons-in-law Brenda and Mitch Truelove, Glenda and David Stowe; daughter, Denise Hand Jackson; sons and daughters-in-law, George Vernon and Patsy Hand, David and Dianne Hand; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her first husband, George Vernon Hand.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2017 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home.  Rev. Danny Jones will officiate.  Interment will follow in Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, December 1, 2017 from 1:00-2:00 p.m.
