Mara Mae Dowell

Mrs. Mara Mae Dowell, age 89 of Gainesville, passed away on November 20, 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm – 2:00pm on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dowell was born on January 24, 1928 in Dawson, Georgia to the late James Edward Rigsby and the late Evalee Howard.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Dowell was preceded in death by her husband Leroy Dowell.

Mrs. Dowell is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and David Emmett of Gainesville and Gail and William Hollingsworth of Gainesville, grandchildren, Leroy Ted Hollingsworth, James and Melissa Latty, great-grandsons Jace Emmett Latty and Gideon Robert Latty, sisters Ruth Rigsby and Audrey Buchanan, nephews Jerry and Terry Rigsby and many other loving nieces and nephews.
