Irene Whitaker Moore

Mrs. Irene Whitaker Moore age 84 of Eastanollee passed away Thursday November 16, 2017 at Stephens County Hospital.

A daughter of the late Fredrick Lee and Nonia Humphrey Whitaker, she was born on April 26, 1933 in Guntown, Mississippi having lived most of her life in Eastanollee. She served as a caregiver for 60 years and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband R.W. “Jim” Moore in 2011.

Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law Wayne and Suzanne Moore of Sumter, South Carolina and Charles Moore of Toccoa, four grandchildren Jason and Michelle Cannon and Will and Christy Bailey, and a brother Tommy Whitaker of New Braunfels, Texas.

Graveside services will be held Sunday November 19, 2017 at 2 P.M. at Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Ricky McFarlin officiating. The family will be at the home and will receive at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday from 6 P.M. til 8 P.M.

Interment will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens
