Syble Bond Sims

Syble Bond Sims, age 82 of Gainesville, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017 at her residence following a brief illness.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 11:00am in Memorial Park Cemetery with Reverend Tony Elrod officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sims was born March 11, 1935 in Homer, Georgia to William Howard Bond and Mary Lou Bryant Bond. She was a homemaker and was a member of Air Line Baptist Church. Mrs. Sims was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Rufus Sims; her sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and James England.

Mrs. Sims is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Kerry Thomas of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Bob Smith of Gainesville; granddaughter and husband, Cheshire Adams and Josh Welch of Braselton; granddaughter and husband, Ashley and Chad Riley of Gainesville; granddaughter and husband, Bethany and Bob Herron of Gainesville; great-grandchildren, Mikayla Franklin, Carter Franklin, Gage Welch, Journey Welch, Jake Meeks, Autumn Herron, Ayden Herron; brother and sister-in-law, Wendell and Opal Bond of Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Bethel Midgett of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Hugh Donald and Kathy Bond of Gainesville.
