Juanita Maude Davis Lovell

Juanita Maude Davis Lovell, age 79 of Mt. Airy, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017.

Born in Trust, North Carolina on March 3, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Dorsey and Georgey Roberts Davis.  Mrs. Lovell was a retired seamstress from Carwood Manufacturing who enjoyed sewing and quilting in her spare time.  She was a member of Hazel Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Kenneth Lovell; grandson, Sgt. Adam Andrew Lovell; sisters, Ethel Owenby and Gladys Pitts; brothers, Earl Davis and Perry Davis. 

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Terry C. and Judy C. Lovell of Mt. Airy; daughters and sons-in-laws, Gaylon and Gordon Lonsberry of Mt. Airy and Rachel and Jerry Lewallen of Alto; grandchildren, Brandon and Mary Tatum, Ryan and Kristie Lovell, all of Mt. Airy, Dustin Tatum, Josh and Joyce Lewallen of Cornelia, Traci Heindorf of Tampa, Florida, and Derek Lonsberry of Gillsville; 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Pauline Underwood of Mt. Airy, Anna Mae Quillen of Romulus, Michigan, Agnes Moore of Mt. Airy, Elane Echols of Alto, Mildred Stephens of Mt. Airy; brothers, Glenn Davis of Mt. Airy and Kermit Davis of Mt. Airy; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, November 13, 2017 at 2 pm at Hazel Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Burrell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
