John “Tom” Williams, Jr

Mr. John “Tom” Williams, Jr., age 89, of Carnesville, GA died Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Kindred Hospice of Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Williams was born in Bowersville, GA to the late John Thomas, Sr. and Stella Owens Williams.  He was a member of Bold Springs United Methodist Church, Bold Springs Fire Department and a veteran of the United States Army.  Mr. Williams was retired from Belk’s.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his brother, Howard Williams.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Willena Strange Williams of Carnesville; son, Brent Williams of Commerce; brothers, Lloyd Williams of Tucker and Joe Williams of Canton; 1 granddaughter and 1 great-grandson.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 11^th at Bold Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Jared Evans officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday night from 5-7 PM.
