Aubrey Lee Capes

Mr. Aubrey Lee Capes, age 71 of 174 Freeman Creek Circle passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017.

A son of the late Homer and Alice Whitlock Capes, he was born November 29, 1945 in Madison County, Georgia having lived most of his life in Stephens County. He was retired from Coats & Clark and was a member and Deacon of Community Harvest Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Robbie Ann Capes in April, 2017, by a brother, Amory Capes and by a nephew, Roger Capes.

Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, C.W. and Sybil Capes of Toccoa; brother-in-law, Ronny Childs of Carnesville; two nieces, Debra Wolfe and Ashley Childs.

Funeral services will be Thursday, November 9, 2017, 2 O’clock p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church with The Reverend Tim Bennett and The Reverend Joey Whitlock officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Joe Whitlock, Claude Childs, Steve Milford, Mark Stowe, Ted Crunkleton and Larry McFarlin.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
