Wayne McKinney

Wayne McKinney, age 64, of Commerce, GA passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017. Mr. McKinney is survived by his wife of twenty years, Della Elrod McKinney, Commerce, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Marie McKinney, Bethlehem, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Kristi and Daniel Bryson, Lilburn, GA, Trisha and J.T. Fischus, Buford, GA; stepchildren, Scott and Denise Head, Lula, GA, Tonya Mann, Commerce, GA, Jasun Head, Commerce, GA, Jeremy Head, Toccoa, GA; eighteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Larry Elliott, Jefferson, GA, Rebecca Payne, Winder, GA; mother-in-law, Florence F. Elrod, Flowery Branch, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. McKinney was born December 2, 1952 in Chamblee, GA. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a graduate of North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, GA.

He was a residential carpenter and was a member of the Buford American Legion Post 127.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Peck, Rev. Monk Phillips and Deacon Mike Tolbert officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, November 8, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
