Carol Garrett

Carol Garrett, 72, of Dawsonville passed away Monday November 6, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a short illness.

Born May 20, 1945 in Lumpkin County to the late Archie and Bertie Davis, she lived most of her life in Dawson County.  A homemaker at her death, she was formerly employed at Coca-Cola in Gainesville.  Carol was well known for baking her delicious cakes.  A member of New Bethel Baptist Church, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Rev. Johnny Garrett; and brothers, Clayton Davis, Horace Davis and Willard Davis.

Surviving are her sister in law, Mary Ruth Davis, Cumming; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday November 9, 2017 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Bobby Whitmire will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 12 noon until 2 at the funeral home.
