Rosie Mae Harris Rider

Mrs. Rosie Mae Harris Rider, age 81 of Flowery Branch, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.       

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Scott Waters and Reverend Randall Sullens will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Monday, November 6, 2017 from 6 – 8 pm and Tuesday, November 7, 2017 from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rider was born October 28, 1936 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late James Jim Harris and Lillie Mae Brown Harris.  She was a homemaker and a member of Victory Baptist Church. 

Mrs. Rider is survived by her husband, Leonard Rider of Flowery Branch, daughter, Melanie Winkles of Flowery Branch, sons & daughters-in-law, Charles Eugene & Debbie Rider of Flowery Branch and James Glenn & Tabitha Rider of Gainesville and son, Gregory Todd Rider of Flowery Branch, grandchildren, Christopher Rider, Crystal Laborde, Jessica & Chris Simmons, Kristen & Matt Cornett, Jay Winkles, Wesley & Katelyn Rider, Justin Smith, Emma Rider, Mark Adams, David Adams, Jeremy Adams and Dustin Adams, 15 great-grandchildren, sisters, Geneva Spencer of Dahlonega and Jamie Wade of Gainesville, sister & brother-in-law, Paula & Roger Jones of Flowery Branch, brothers & sisters-in-law, Cecil & Diane Harris of Pendergrass, Grady & Connie Harris of Flowery Branch, Denver & Kim Harris of Flowery Branch and Russell & Kathy Harris of Oakwood, and brother, Larry Harris of Gainesville.
