Edith Etta Carter Standridge, age 82 of 187 Old River Road, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 at her residence.
A daughter of the late Stephen F. and Oma Franklin Carter, she was born October 8, 1935 in Oconee County, South Carolina having lived most of her life in Stephens County. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was of the Holiness faith.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Thomas Standridge of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, JoAnn and Larry Moore of Carnesville, Georgia, Evelyn and Robert Caudell of Danielsville, Georgia and B.J. Carter and her fiancée, Russell Adams of Toccoa; six grandchildren, five step-grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren, nine step-great grandchildren and two step-great-great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 7, 2017, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Roby Woody and The Reverend Roger Elrod officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Tony Carter, Wayne Carter, Donnie Carter, Kenneth Carter, Michael Carter and Nathan Carter.
The family will be at the home on Old River Road and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences can be made by visiting the website at www.acree-davisfh.com.
