Jack Nathaniel Armstrong, age 88, of Cornelia, Georgia went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 2, 2017 following an extended illness.
Mr. Armstrong was born on January 6, 1929 in Clearwater, Florida to the late Rapley, Sr. and Mary Norton Armstrong. He was a member of Level Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Armstrong was a Veteran of the United States Army having served in the Occupational Forces in Germany following World War II. He was retired from Sears as a service manager with 38 years of loyal and dedicated service.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Armstrong, of Cornelia; daughter, Jackie Armstrong Thomas, of Cornelia; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jean Armstrong, of Cornelia; sister, Ruth Dean, of Lancaster, KY; brother, Rapley Armstrong, Jr., of Tampa, FL; Daniel Armstrong, of Frankfort, KY; grandchildren and spouses, Lisa and Marty Harrell; Eric and Jessica Armstrong, Elizabeth Armstrong Delanoy and Nate Delanoy; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Memorial Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Level Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Brian James officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the memorial service hour at the church on Saturday, November 11, 2017.
