Jerry Lamar Tate, age 75, of Cumming, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017. He was a member of Roanoke Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. He will always be remembered as a hard worker who loved his family dearly. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Tate; his parents, Ralph and Viola Tate; and brother, Horace Tate.
Survivors include his daughters and sons in law, Becky (Jamie) Lingerfelt of Cleveland, Gina (Clint) Thompson of Cumming, and Betsy (Bradley) Caine of Cumming; brother and sister-in-law, Larry (Darcy) Tate of Cumming; grandchildren, Cam Moore, Brooke Thompson, Aaron Caine, Cassie Cane, and Kylie Thompson; great grandchild, Slayton Moore; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at Roanoke Baptist Church with Rev. Clark Watson, Rev. Joe Hulsey, and Rev. Ruel Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 2, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
