Neva Belle Pruitt, age 81 of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. Pruitt was born on August 10, 1936, in Cleveland, Georgia, to the late Gordon and Nanny Gilstrap. She was retired from Babyland General Hospital where she was known as Dr. Pruitt and was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. Neva was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Russell Pruitt. Russell and Neva were married for 59 years and she had missed him dearly so she joined him in Heaven only weeks after his death. Mrs. Pruitt is also preceded in death by her children, Ricky Pruitt and Phillip Pruitt; brother, Mento Gilstrap.
Survivors include her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Randy and Rachel Pruitt, Dahlonega, Jerry Pruitt, Dahlonega, Sandra and Johnny Seabolt, Cleveland, Phyliss Burton, Cornelia, Thomas Pruitt, Alto, and Mildred Rider, Dahlonega.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Shoal Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Stacy Dyer, the Rev. Les Fuller, and Dr. Joe Vernon will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home and again on Thursday until the time of the service.
