Robert Thompson Dollar, 84 of Oakwood passed away Monday October 30, 2017 at his residence.
Born in Buford, Georgia November 27, 1934, to Robert Burton Dollar and Vera Mina Thompson, Mr. Dollar had lived in Hall County for a number of years. He was an owner/operator of Dollar Carburetor and Electric, now known as Dollar Auto Parts in Gainesville.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Todd McGlaun, Athens; grandchildren, Derrick Kaufman, Nevada; Natasha McGlaun, Oregon; Daniel Kaufman, Gainesville; Hunter McGlaun, Oregon; Ethan McGlaun, Athens; sisters, Mildred Dollar and Lucille Landers, both of Gainesville; brother, Edward Dollar, Winder. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Mr. Dollar is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Lavern Henderson Dollar, sister, Dorothy Dollar.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday November 3, 2017 in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Friday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.
