Francis 'Granny' Adams Beck Hopkins

Francis “Granny” Adams Beck Hopkins, age 83 of 155 Beck Road, Mt. Airy, Georgia passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017 at her residence.  

A daughter of the late Carson and Carilee Smith Adams, she was born September 27, 1934 in Stephens County, Georgia having lived all of her life in Stephens and Habersham Counties.  She was employed with Fieldale Corporation and was a member of Carnes Creek Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Carlton Beck in 1962, by a daughter, Brenda DeFoor and by grandchildren, Tracie Beck, Tiffany Beck and Gabriel Dickerson.

 Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Tim Blackburn of Mt. Airy and Carol and Ricky McFarlin of Eastanollee; son and daughter in law, Greg and Chantey Beck of Mt. Airy; granddaughter reared in the home, Christina Beck; eleven grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Clara Lee Beck and Beth Beck both of Mt. Airy and Ossie Adams of Toccoa.

 Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 31, 2017, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Ricky McFarlin officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Anthony DeFoor, William Webb, Donald McFarlin, Brandon McFarlin, Brenton Lawson and Billy Mull.

 The family will be at the home on Beck Road and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.  Online condolences can be made by visiting the website at www.acree-davisfh.com.
