Paul Ross Pope

Obituary Date: Thursday, October 26, 2017

Paul Ross Pope was born on February 21, 1949 in Marysville, California to Dorothy Cleo Anderson Pope and James Carol Pope. He returned to live with his Heavenly Father on October 26, 2017.

Ross is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sharman Neal Pope, and his three daughters, Stacey (Rob) Ro, Lindsay Pope, Whitney (Corey) Couch and his grandchildren: Addison, Jenna, Taesun, and Mia Ross Ro. He is also survived by his four siblings: James (Martha) Pope, Lorenzo (Nancy) Pope, Susan (Chuck) Sweeney, and Erma (Larry) Foltz. 

Ross received a lung transplant in 2014 which granted him an additional three and a half years of life. He was passionate about educating others to become organ donors. He attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where he served as a counselor in the Stake Presidency, and as Bishop. 

Visitations will be held Friday, November 3 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM  and Saturday November 4 from 11:30 AM- 12:30 PM at Little-Davenport Funeral Home, located at 355 Dawsonville Hwy, Gainesville, GA. Funeral will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1234 Riverside Dr., Gainesville, GA. Bishop Adam Leblanc will officiate.  Interment will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery in Gainesville, GA.
