Miss Cierra Alwayne Duckworth, age 14, of Flowery Branch passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017 at her residence, surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle with Cerebral Palsy.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 26, 2017 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Rev. A.B. Stewart and Rev. Johnny Sullens will officiate. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 25, 2017 and 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
Cierra was born June 9, 2003 in Gainesville to Melisa Hernandez and Stacey Duckworth. She was a member of The First Pentecostal of Oakwood and loved music and tulips. Cierra always brought a smile to everyone.
Cierra is survived by her parents, Melisa & Adam Hernandez of Flowery Branch; father, Stacey Duckworth of Cleveland; brothers, Adam Hernandez, Jr. of Texas, Gino Hernandez of Oakwood, Daniel Hernandez of Flowery branch, Jacob Duckworth of New York and Bryson Gooch of Gainesville; sisters, Delila Duckworth of Flowery Branch, Amanda Hernandez of Oakwood, Meredith Hernandez of Texas, and Virginia Keown of Cleveland; maternal grandparents, Ray & Judy Cordell of Lula; paternal grandmother, Hazel Raven of Gainesville; grandmother, Evangelina Hernandez of Texas; maternal great-grandparents, Rev. Johnny & Wilma Sullens of Cleveland; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces & nephews.
