William Clarence Duke, 88, of Cumming, GA passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 19, 2017. He was a 55 year resident of Forsyth County that moved here in 1962 from Decatur, GA. He was a member of Cumming First United Methodist Church, the Faithful Fellowship Sunday school class and the Disciples Bible Study. He also coached little league baseball for over 13 years. William served his Country during the Korean War in the United States Army. He loved to play tennis and bridge. He was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Marlene Duke of Cumming, GA; son, Jim and Janet Duke of Dawsonville, GA; and grandsons, Jonathan Trent Duke and William Todd Duke.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Cumming First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Cumming First United Methodist Church general fund or the Gentle Souls group or to the charity of your choice.
