Steven J. Stack

“He sailed away.   He walked 2000 miles and then he slipped away.”

On October 16, 2017 the angels lifted Steven J. Stack, age 55 back home to be with the Lord.  Everything about him is irreplacable.  He was a loving husband and father.  He was born July 16, 1962 and is survived by his wife Theresa Scoverski, son Steven Stack, brothers Dave Stack, Bob Stack and parents Bob and Marilyn Stack.

Steve’s spirit touched so many of us.  To many who knew him he was a brother - a guiding light of inspiration who always made you smile.  He cherished you all.  His sweet smile, kind words and laughter made the world a better place.   He was very giving and he loved his community.  Steve loved Christmas and he made us believe Santa existed.

In the early 1980’s, Steve was plant manager for Ramp Industries in Binghamton NY.  In the 1990’s he moved to Florida and was an RF Engineer and inventor at TracStar.  Over the last 10 years he was a realtor for Century 21 in Helen GA.  He loved reaching out, helping out and inspiring all he came in touch with.   He was the White County Chamber of Commerce chair person, served on the United Way Celebrity Golf Tournament planning team, was named Kissimmee Elk of the year and  has been honored with many community services awards over the years.

He was an extreme guitarist and vocalist.   Steve played with many bands and musicians throughout the years.  He loved music and was bigger than life when he performed. 

Through Steve’s journeys he met a lot of people suffering from cancer and when he visited them he saw and heard of the wonders of hospice care.   Steve was all about helping people so in lieu of flowers please donate in his memory to Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center at https://www.themedicalcenterfoundation.org/donate/donationform/
