Elsie Mae Rutherford

Mrs. Elsie Mae Rutherford, age 85 of Gainesville, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Dr. Mike Williams will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rutherford was born June 12, 1932 in Stone Mountain, Georgia. She was retired owner and operator of Twins Tanks and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.  Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Howard Rutherford and daughter, Shirley Sims.

Mrs. Rutherford is survived by her children, Mike Rutherford and Kim & Craig Watson, all of Gainesville, grandchildren, Wayne Banister, Becky Howard, Courtney Banister, Rosanna Carder, Stephen Evans and Ryan Evans and a number of great-grandchildren.
