Larry Douglas Stowers

Larry Douglas Stowers age 59 of Murrayville, GA passed away on October 13, 2017 following a sudden illness. Born August 30, 1958 to parents Winfred and Lucy Black Stowers, he was a native of Hall County and with the exception of a brief time he lived in South Carolina, had lived here most of his life. He was a 1976 graduate of North Hall High School and the former owner and operator of Stower’s Auto Parts. Larry was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his father, Larry was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Tol and Ethel Black and paternal grandparents, Ernest and Sallie Fay Stowers. He is survived by his wife; Mildred Chastain, Murrayville, mother; Lucy Stowers, Murrayville, brother and sister-in-law; Wayne and Pam Stowers, Marietta, nephew; Dylan Stowers, Marietta, nieces; Kelly (Greg) Sistrunk, Gainesville, Paris Stowers, Syracuse, NY, Jesse Stowers, New York, NY, great nephew; Sawyer Sistrunk, Gainesville, great niece; Sophie Sistrunk, Gainesville.

A memorial service for Larry will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Dahlonega Funeral Home. Rev. Jason Buffington and Rev. Jack Gilreath will officiate. The family will receive friends, also on Sunday, from noon until the service hour.
