Joseph John Roehrig III

Joseph John Roehrig III “Joe”, passed away on October 13, 2017 at Dekalb Medical Hospital near his home in Tucker, GA.

Joe was born on December 20, 1949 in Queens, New York to Joseph and Margaret Roehrig. He graduated from Eastern Military Academy in 1967 and from the Citadel in 1971.

He is survived by his wife, Carrie Jewell Roehrig; his children, Christina Roehrig (James), Joseph Roehrig and Dustin Jones (Doug); and his sister, Margaret Roehrig Cocozza (Mike). He enjoyed his work for 32 years at Commercial Roofing Specialties, Inc “CRS”. He was a foodie and loved cooking, fishing, traveling, music, and most of all spending time with his family. He also really loved animals especially his dogs, Cooper and Charlie and his parrot, Chance; and of course, all his fur-grandbabies: Bella, Gator, Kimber, and Monkey. He was a loving man, husband, daddy, and brother who lived life to the fullest.

A Celebration of Life for Joe is scheduled for 3 PM Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home in Gainesville, GA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1 PM until service time.
