William H. Duhling, Jr.

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. William H. “Bill” Duhling Jr., age 86, of Monroe, Georgia who entered into rest Saturday October 14, 2017. 

Mr. Duhling was born in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, the son of the late William Henry Duhling, Sr., and the late Marie Antoinette Verheyde Duhling.  Mr. Duhling was a member of the Croce United Methodist Church in Asheville, North Carolina, held a B.S. Degree in Geological Engineering from N.C. State and a Masters Degree from the University of Wyoming.  Mr. Duhling enjoyed a long career with Froling and Robertson Engineering where he was recognized many times over the years for his accomplishments.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Duhling is preceded by a sister, Mickey Hayes.

Survivors include two sisters, Sallie Duhling of Athens, Georgia and Phyllis Benedetti of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, along with several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held in Asheville, North Carolina at a later date.
